International factoring launched on the OZ PLANET digital platform — fast money for foreign trade

NEWS
OZ PLANET announces the launch of a new product — international factoring for exporters, importers and banks of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is a modern financial tool that lets companies get paid for deliveries faster and lets banks safely finance foreign trade deals in a fully digital format.
What is international factoring
International factoring is a way of financing foreign trade contracts in which a business receives money without waiting for actual payment from its foreign counterparty. The bank (factor) buys the exporter's receivables or finances the importer's payments, ensuring prompt cash flow.
The OZ PLANET platform turns international factoring into a digital service: applications, documents, limits, settlements and risk control are handled online, quickly and transparently.
What it gives businesses
- fast money for exporters after shipment;
- deferred payment for importers;
- an automated, manageable, low-risk product for banks;
- launching international factoring without complex integrations or foreign e-signatures, in a "single digital window" format.
Types of international factoring on OZ PLANET
1. Import factoring (agency factoring model)
The bank pays foreign suppliers on behalf of the buyer, giving the buyer deferred payment.
Who is it for? Importers in Uzbekistan (retail, manufacturing).
How does it work?
- The supplier (non-resident) ships goods to the buyer in Uzbekistan (the importer).
- The importer (resident) signs a factoring agreement with the bank on OZ PLANET and instructs the bank to pay the supplier.
- The bank transfers money to the foreign supplier; the importer pays the bank a fee.
- The importer repays the bank the payment amount under the agreed deferral.
* The risk lies with the importer: the bank takes on the risk of the resident, whose reliability is confirmed by risk analysis.
Benefits: financing for the importer without a debt burden while keeping convenient supply terms; no dependence on the terms of the underlying contract (even if the contract has no deferral, the buyer can get one through factoring).
2. Export factoring (undisclosed factoring model)
The exporter receives financing right after shipment; the foreign buyer pays as usual without being involved in the factoring scheme.
Who is it for? Exporters in Uzbekistan (textiles, fruit and vegetables, auto components).
How does it work?
- The exporter (resident) signs a foreign trade contract and ships goods to the foreign buyer.
- The exporter signs a factoring agreement with the bank and uploads the invoice in their OZ PLANET personal account.
- The bank provides financing to the exporter minus its fee.
- The buyer (non-resident) pays the supplier (exporter) when the contract deferral ends.
- The exporter repays the bank under the factoring agreement.
* The risk lies with the exporter: if the foreign buyer does not pay under the contract, the exporter repays the bank the full contract amount.
Benefits: 2–3x faster turnover for the exporter, deal confidentiality (the buyer pays as usual without being involved in the factoring scheme), no cross-border assignment (the bank does not take on the foreign buyer's risk).
Benefits of international factoring on OZ PLANET for banks
- Operational efficiency. Full automation of verification, document flow and settlements reduces labor costs and speeds up deals.

- A wider product range and client base. Launching international factoring lets banks offer in-demand foreign trade solutions with convenient online access for clients.
- Higher fee income. A stable fee stream from repeat factoring operations with minimal risk.
- Fast, cost-effective launch. Rolling out the product without international agreements or complex integrations shortens launch times and reduces costs.
In foreign trade, the winner is not the one who sells more, but the one who gets money back into circulation faster. That is why we have developed another financial tool for business growth in Uzbekistan.
International factoring on the OZ PLANET digital platform makes business mobile, financial flows manageable and borders conditional. It lets companies grow faster than their receivables, and lets banks earn more while taking on less risk.
This is a case where digital infrastructure directly affects profit, resilience and the pace of business growth. The sooner companies use it, the further ahead they will be in the market.
